چکیده

The current experiment was carried out at the Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS) Polasa, Jagtial during rabi 2020-21, with goals of (1) assessing resistance Indian mustard germplasm lines to powdery mildew disease and (2) analysing yield its contributing traits, days 50% flowering, maturity, plant height in centimetres, primary branch number, secondary siliqua number length centimetres. results analysis variance showed that there were statistically significant differences between genotypes their characteristics. viz., DRMR-150-35, Black gold, RH-9304 performed best on average 50 different varieties for twelve characteristics, including high seed per plant, 1000-seed weight harvest index. Two resistant (GM-3 Swarna Jyothi) nine (Pusa mahak, PM-25, PM-26, PDZM-31, Pusa tarak, bahar, Ashirwad, DRMR-601, JM-2) demonstrated considerable reaction after being screened against illness. We can solve effect problem by utilizing these as donors future breeding programme develop lines.

Effects of Bunch Rot (Botrytis cinerea) and Powdery Mildew (Erysiphe necator) Fungal Diseases on Wine Aroma

This study aimed to characterize the effects of bunch rot and powdery mildew on the primary quality parameter of wine, the aroma. The influence of these fungal diseases was studied by comparative Aroma Extract Dilution Analyses (AEDA) and sensory tests. The effect of bunch rot was investigated on three grape varieties, namely White Riesling, Red Riesling and Gewürztraminer and that of powdery m...

Association of leaf micro-morphological characters with powdery mildew resistance in field-grown mulberry (Morus spp.) germplasm

BACKGROUND AND AIMS Micro-morphological characteristics can influence fungal infectivity. We sought links between micro-morphology and resistance to powdery mildew in mulberry with the intention of assisting selection of disease-resistant lines. METHODOLOGY Over 3 years and under field conditions, we evaluated 30 lines of mulberry with contrasting susceptibilities to powdery mildew (15 resist...

Notes on two powdery mildew fungi (Erysiphe magnifica and E. corylacearum) from Iran

Two powdery mildew species have been collected from Iran. For the first time, Erysiphe magnifica on Magnolia sp. was identified from Iran based on morphological and molecular characteristics. Erysiphe corylacearum was collected for the second time in the country and reported for the first time from Guilan province. There are some polymorphisms in ITS-rDNA sequences of...

Specific Isolation of RNA from the Grape Powdery Mildew Pathogen Erysiphe necator, an Epiphytic, Obligate Parasite

RNA expression profiling of obligately parasitic plant microbes is hampered by the requisite interaction of host and parasite. This can be especially problematic in the case of powdery mildews, such as Erysiphe necator (syn. Uncinula necator), which grow superficially but tightly adhere to the plant epidermis. We developed and refined a simple and efficient technique in which nail polish was us...
